Where to Eat in Marrakech
Street food, rooftop tagines, Gueliz bistros and the private-chef dinner we book most often.

Eating in Marrakech works in three layers, and the best trips use all of them.
Street and market food: fresh orange juice on Jemaa el-Fnaa, grilled brochettes, msemen at breakfast, and a bowl of harira in the evening. Choose stalls with a queue of locals.
Medina rooftops: slow-cooked tagines and pastilla with a view. Book the sunset slot and ask for a table on the upper level.
Gueliz and Hivernage: modern Moroccan and Mediterranean bistros, natural wine and a very different crowd from the medina — worth one evening.
Private chef at your riad or villa: the request we get most, and often the highlight of the week. A chef shops in the morning, cooks in your kitchen and serves on your terrace.
Food tours: an evening walking tour of the medina is the fastest way to learn what to order for the rest of your stay.
Want a table that is genuinely hard to book, or a chef for a birthday dinner? Send the concierge team a message and we will arrange it.
